Hello and welcome to North Shore Guitar!

My name is Francesco and I enjoy teaching beginner and intermediate guitarists ages 8 and up in the styles of rock, pop, jazz, blues, and/or finger-style guitar in the North Vancouver area. 

My philosophy is that learning the guitar should be fun and taught by a skilled teacher who is supportive and fosters enthusiasm and confidence. 

I aim to make lessons fun by teaching you what you want to learn.  Before lessons start  I like to have a chat about what  music you like and your goals with the guitar. Then, I tailor make a course of study that helps you reach your goals as soon as possible.

Lessons

Availability and Rates:

-Private Lessons-

I teach private lessons Monday through Sunday from about 10am to about 6pm. Private lessons are $45/hour or $30/half hour. Most student lessons are in my home, but I make house calls for a limited number of students for an additional charge.

About Me

aboutHello everyone, and thank you for your interest! My name is Francesco and I am a guitarist with over 20 years of experience. I hold a Diploma in Recording Arts from Columbia Academy of Radio, TV, and Recording Arts.

I have been lucky enough to grow up and remain on the beautiful, but wet North Shore, where I live with my wife, child, and dog Mylo.

My love for music began when I was 16 and my grandmother bought me an electric guitar. I remember the ‘magic’ and excitement that I felt when I started to play.  I loved everything about the instrument: the way it looked, the way it sounded, the way it felt in my hands. I loved the excitement of discovering new songs, new chords, new scales, anything to do with music.

Well, that ‘magic’ is still very much alive in me 20 years later. Please let me share my knowledge and love of the instrument with you.

My musical influences range from Bach to Nirvana and everything in between although I love any style of music with a good melody. These days, in my own time, I mostly play pop and rock tunes arranged for fingerstyle guitar or classical guitar repertoire.
